The Company has entered into a strategic alliance with a US major, Exelint International Inc, to manufacture and market the syringes utilising Exel’s production facilities in Seoul, Korea and its existing well established medical products distribution network in the United States, Japan, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Exelint International Inc. was founded in 1977 by brothers Eshagh and Saied Hamid with corporate headquarters and a sales and distribution centre located at 5840 West Centinela Avenue, Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.
The company has representatives on The California Board of Pharmacy and is a member of the United States Chamber of Commerce and is registered with the United States Food and Drug Administration.
Key personnel are; Eshagh Hamid , President and CEO; Saied Hamid , Vice President and Chief of Finance; Jatin Rajani, General Manager Export; and Armand Hamid, Director Sales and Distribution.
Exelint is a key player in the manufacture and distribution of world class medical products around the globe.
With a second sales and distribution centre located in Saint Petersburg, Florida, the time zone difference allows Exelint personnel to be contacted 16 hours per day.
Exelint has significant market presence and brand recognition in sixteen countries covering Europe and the Americas and are experiencing strong growth and market penetration in a further twenty four countries across Asia and the Middle East.
Exelint also has significant manufacturing and distribution centres in four countries being, United States, Japan, Thailand and Korea with a distribution logistics hub in Dubai servicing Europe and the Middle East.
They are currently fitting out a new 5,600sq metre sales and distribution site at Redondo Beach, California to replace their existing premises in Los Angeles to better handle the strong growth the company is experiencing.

Manufacturing facilities – Plant & Equipment /Exelint Korea
This facility located approximately 2 kilometers outside of Seoul in Poi-Dong Kangnam-Ku is strategically placed to capitalize on the fact that Korea is rapidly becoming the world centre for syringe manufacture due to its’ excellent manufacturing economies coupled with significant technological advances in design, tooling and automation.
Safetymed will own the plant and equipment purchased to produce the syringe, including all tooling, moulding and injection equipment, assembly equipment, printing equipment, packaging equipment and other manufacturing support equipment and hardware as necessary for the manufacture and production of the syringe. The Exelint manufacturing facility in Korea where the SecureTouch syringe will be made has 200sq metres of clean room space six (6) 300 ton injection moulding machines available to be utilized for the project.
The agreement is for an initial period of five (5) years, with two (2) further periods of five (5) years each exercisable at Safetymed’s option. Production will commence as soon as possible upon completion of the requisite gear-up and commissioning of the plant
The manufacturing facility and the manufacturing operations are conducted in compliance with the following requirements:
- good operating practices;
- the recognised Australian and International quality standards pertaining to the manufacture and packaging of the Products:
- the "off tool" sample of the Product agreed upon by the parties; and
- the specifications for manufacturing the Products in a form agreed between the parties;
- the quality standards set out in the agreement.
